Well, kids and kittens, here we are. The new MVN. There are still some kinks: posts and comments from the last few days are being migrated over later this week, some features are still not quite operational, etc. But hopefully the big things are here, i.e. the posts, and you, and me, and the Spazzosaurus.
As you have hopefully noticed, the new RotT address is mvn.com/roarofthetigers and the old address will NOT redirect you here, so you will have to update your links. Boo, hiss, etc. It is just how things have to be.
The comic is coming along– I’m working on slightly larger board than the intro ‘issue’, so it takes a bit longer to ink, but I think the end result will be worth it. If you’re really bored and want to see what I’ve been up to lately, you can check out my photos from Game 4 of the ALCS and this BCRS post about Game 5 of the ALCS. Photos from Game 5 (oh yes, I was there) are coming eventually, but I’ve still got to process ’em all.
Here’s hoping you guys are all seeing this page and post A-OK.
ETA: If you’re on Livejournal, offspeed has awesometastically set up a syndicated feed you can use to follow RotT right over here. If you want the straight-up RSS feed, it’s over here.
Rawr! Glad to see the shiny new site.
*leaves paw prints all around the room*
I’m not sure how I feel about this. :/ I HATE CHANGE. Case in point: my username.
The new layout is hideous.
I LOVE the new look.
Wow, Samara. You were at game 5 of the Rays and Red Sox?! I am truly envious. When I went to bed in the 7th inning, my ever faithful gut told me that the Sox were going to pull this one out. I pooh poohed the idea. Naaaaw, what’s the odds?
Awwwww, cute kitten paws.
Paul, we should have paw prints up here somewhere! And tiger stripes… I gotta see if I can add stuff to the template. Blue is so un-tiger-y.
ivan, Carlos, yeah, I’m not a fan of change either, and there’s some stuff I’m definitely not digging about this (although I’m not sure how much is the design and how much is certain things just not working yet), but… at least the column width is bigger? That’s nice for the images.
Jules, yeah, it was CRAZY. I had absolutely no voice the next day, ha ha. Possibly the best game I’ve ever seen in person.
h2opolopunk, that’s my girl. Always trying to use the computer when I’m trying to use it. :)
Thanks for sending the e-mail so I could find you again.
I don’t think I like that the column is so . . . left-margined? IDK, I’m having the dumb right now.
I’m sure I’ll get used to it though!
What’s the cutie kitten’s name? How old is she?
I know it’s a little personal, but c’mon, we’re talking kitties here! :)
/counts down until spring training
heitk1le, no prob!
ivan, I do think that’s something you (and I) will get used to eventually. It’s just a matter of looking at it enough, so it becomes the new normal. So I’ll get used to it faster than you will… :P Also, I WILL be adding some more interesting visual elements to the page, but that will have to wait for a while, because I’m not going to overload our poor administrators while they’re still dealing with the trauma of the move, heh.
h2opolopunk, her name’s Miranda, and at 10 years old she’s not a kitten anymore… although she still acts like one. :) The other cat is Izzy.
