USA and the wonders of Curtis Granderson! Venezuela and the wonders of practically every other Tiger! Yet another liveblog! 6:30 pm Wednesday! Click the link to access the liveblog in a new window!

WBC USA/Venezuela Pool C Final

postscript: things we learned from this game:

–Freep writer Jamie Samuelsen is being dumb
–Marco Scutaro and Francisco Cervelli, both Itali-venezuelan
–Adam Dunn= American Dae Ho Lee
–bad tattoo decisions on catchers are wicked distracting on TV
–Ryan Braun, connoisseur of fine clothing
–someone, somewhere, sells neon green Mets jackets
–“spank zone”, the people have spoken
–Brad Ziegler= American Shunsuke Watanabe
–Jonathan Broxton fields the ball like a bear “snatching a salmon out of a stream”

Many thanks to jen, anaaki, Snuppy the Hound, and ash for joining me in this Tigerful battle that mostly no one in Canada bothered to go see in person. We are just THAT COOL.

Dude, why wasn’t I around for this one? Boo!

  2. Also notable was the first usage of the word “ursine” in a WBC liveblog. EVER.
Sample size issues were afoot in the Spank Zone Poll.
