super wicked very important Tigers news

Super wicked important news! Vastly important! Must-know, huge effects on the future of the team! Massive impact on the 2011 squad!!

Actually, no: none of those things. Zach Miner signed a minor league deal with the Royals a few days ago.

That’s it. That’s what passes for Tigers news right now.

Miner fans may commence the tearing of hair, gnashing of teeth, and rending of garments. Everyone else, feel free to go about your business. Thank you for your time.

PS: To the person who found my blog by searching for “nationalism of Tiger”, the answer is “Detroit” and his name is Paws, not Tiger. You’re welcome.

PS PS: The Yankees are rumored to be showing interest in Jeremy Bonderman. There’s a name for the way this makes me feel… hmm… I know there’s a word for it…

Ah yes.

  1. The Yanks taking Bondo doesn’t make me nauseous. The Yanks sometimes take our castoffs, but never to much success. What would worry me would be if the Giants take Bondo–the Giants have a history of taking our dross and using it to spin gold . . .

  2. I don’t think Bondo would be good on the Yankees, necessarily, but I know what you mean. It still doesn’t sit well. After all, he basically grew up with us… to see him in pinstripes would be, well… kinda nauseating.

    • Exactly. It’s not that I’m still holding out hopes that he’ll suddenly be the pitcher we always wanted him to be… (except that I kind of am, deep down)… it’s just, the Yankees. Ugh.

  3. As bad as Grandy in pinstripes? Hmm. I’ll have to think on that one. But I agree Bondo doesn’t need to end up in San Francisco. We gave ’em Cody Ross (more or less). We don’t need to give them Bondo.

  4. Bonderman on Yankees = Jeff Weaver on Yankees.

PS: Zach Miner looks like a rabbit.
